Celebs Turn Out For Prop 8 Protest: Ricki Lake, Rose McGowan (pictured left) and Wanda Sykes joined thousands of protesters in West Hollywood Wednesday night to protest the passing of California’s controversial Prop 8, which is likely to pass and amend the state’s constitution to define marriage as between only a man and woman, the Lost Boy blog on IndieWire.com reported. After the initial rally, the protest turned more angry as people marched through the streets of Beverly Hills and Hollywood. At one point, the massive crowd ran into “Dancing With the Star’s” Lance Bass, who was stuck in traffic, Towleroad.com reported. More protests, including one today outside of the Mormon church in Westwood, are expected to follow in the days to come. Maybe Lance will join in!

Ellen Reacts To Prop 8: Ellen DeGeneres posted a message on her show’s Web site Thursday condemning the passing of the controversial California proposition. “This morning, when it was clear that Proposition 8 had passed in California, I can’t explain the feeling I had. I was saddened beyond belief. Here we just had a giant step toward equality and then on the very next day, we took a giant step away,” Ellen wrote. “I believe one day a ‘ban on gay marriage’ will sound totally ridiculous. In the meantime, I will continue to speak out for equality for all of us.”
