Jessica Simpson Packs on Pounds

Jessica Simpson won't be squeezing back into her Daisy Dukes any time soon.

The buxom blonde packed on the pounds and paraded her new beefed-up body on stage at a Florida chili cook-off on Sunday where she sported high-waisted jeans, a low-cut black top and a leopard print double-belt.

The 5-foot-3 singer whose weight typically fell around the 110-lbs mark worked out for two hours a day, six days a week with a personal trainer in order to shimmy into those famous hot pants for her role in the 2005 film "Dukes of Hazard."

"Curves are better," she told Harper's Bazaar in a 2007 interview. "I don't get the whole rail thing. It's not good for your heart, it's not good for your mind; it's emotionally destructive, it really is."

Jess described herself as a "nervous eater" and is happy with her new bod, a friend told OK! magazine.

"She's done depriving herself and missing out on life just to fit into size 2 jeans," the pal told the mag. "She doesn't think there's anything wrong with the way she looks."

The singer's weight began ballooning at the start of her tour and created rumors that she and boyfriend Tony Romo, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, were having a baby, the New York Daily News reported.
