”King of the Hill” Knocked Off TV

Animated series by Mike Judge will end after 14 seasons

"King of the Hill" is over the hill at Fox.

The network is canceling the long-running animated comedy on the blue-collar Texas family of Hank Hill and Hill's friends.

Hank is voiced by series co-creator and executive producer Mike Judge. Others in the cast include Kathy Najimy, Brittany Murphy and Stephen Root.

The series is now in its 13th year. The network recently ordered 13 new episodes, and animated series have a long production schedule. So Fox says it expects final episodes of the half-hour series likely will air next season.

Ratings for "King of the Hill" have been relatively flat early this season.
