Billy Bob at Billy Bob's, with ZZ Top

Move over U2 and the Jonas Brothers, Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton and his band The Boxmasters will take the stage at Billy Bob's Texas with ZZ Top on Thursday.

The last minute show was announced Thursday night.

It's been more than 20 years since ZZ Top played the world's largest honky tonk. "The last time ZZ Top played here was in 1981 when Billy Bob's opened so it only took us 28 years to get them back," said Pam Minick of Billy Bob's Texas.

Thornton as well as ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard will put their hands in cement to commemorate the event.

ZZ Top filmed a concert at Nokia Theater in Grand Prairie on November 1, 2007 for their live concert DVD "Live From Texas." The trio from Texas kicks off it's European tour May 26 in Prague.

The Boxmasters are currently on tour and will play a showcase at South by Southwest the night before they concert at Billy Bob's Texas. On April 5 the band will kick off a second tour, sharing the stage with Willie Nelson.

Tickets for Billy Bob's Texas special concert go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. at Billy Bob's Box Office and through Ticketmaster. Reserved Seats sell for $50 and General Admission sells for $20.

The show on Thursday, March 19 starts at 9 p.m.
