Access Exclusive: Jennifer Aniston's Paparazzi Showdown In Mexico

The newsstands are littered this week, like they are most weeks, with photos of Jennifer Aniston.

But this week, Access Hollywood got a peek inside the actress' life under the glare of the lens as Billy Bush was invited on her birthday vacation in Cabo San Lucas.

Bearing gifts for their interview, Billy gave Jennifer an Anika black bikini bottom with beading, something she said was "cute." And it's those bikini bottoms from Access that Jen looks shapely in on the cover of both Us Weekly and Star Magazine.

While down in Mexico though, Billy got to see just what the paparazzi do to get those shots of the birthday girl, who turns 41 on Thursday.

"First of all, let me apologize for the paparazzi boats that are out here throughout the day," Billy said, jokingly. "They follow me wherever I go. I've been on TV for a while now, so…"

"I don't know how you deal with it," Jen joked back.

All kidding aside, Access Hollywood's cameras captured paparazzi boats, poised in Cabo San Lucas' Sea of Cortez, coveting a photo of a bathing suit-clad Jennifer Aniston enjoying her birthday vacation.

"Our gang… has been holding up these mirrors," Jen said of a technique used to help her group enjoy some personal time, privately. "[It's]… in support of helping, you know, to sort of disrupt their photographs.

"So hopefully, we've helped you in some way," Jennifer added, continuing the joke with Billy.

But the real paparazzi attention was a sight Billy had to see to believe. A full battle on the beach was waged as the One & Only Palmilla resort took extreme measures to protect Jen's privacy.

Employees stood with giant mirrors on the beach to reflect sun in the lenses of the photographers.

Jet Skis circled, making waves and splashing water into the boats. Even a military boat arrived to back them off.

"I think it's nice of the Palmilla to make the effort," Billy said.

"I mean, I think any guest who comes here would hope to have a little privacy," Jen said. "Yeah, I think it's very nice."

Despite these enormous efforts, Jen's bodacious bikini body was indeed still snapped, but no one got the money shot they were after – Jen next to her "Bounty Hunter" co-star Gerard Butler, who joined the actress on her Cabo birthday bash, along with several other celebs including Courteney Cox, Sheryl Crow and Jason Bateman.

"Happy birthday, Jen," Gerard said to Access Hollywood's cameras.

"What's good about him? Or, what does he bring out in you?" Billy asked Jen of her Scottish co-star.

"We just had so much fun together, you know? He's just fun," she said. "I mean, Gerry's the most unpretentious guy. He's a guy's guy and he's absolutely the most lovely — and sort of self depreciating — and what you see is what you get."

For Jen, her celebration was not just about fun in the sun. Mexico is a country close to her heart.

She works with Friends of El Faro, which supports the Casa Hogar Sion, an orphanage and school in Tijuana. And she's hoping to inspire tourism, which dropped off in the last year.

"Mexico is really hurting right now because of the swine flu and the drug trafficking and all of this sort of stuff, but it's not all of Mexico and these people survive on us coming down and spending money and coming to these beautiful places," she said.
