Lockheed Martin's Engineers in the Classroom program connects teachers and students with real-life aerospace engineers.
Lockheed Martin is committed to inspiring the next generation of technical talent through targeted science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiatives. We know the importance of math and science to our nation's future, and are working to ensure that our students develop strong skills in those fields.
Lockheed Martin's Engineers in the Classroom allows students to experience engineering first-hand through hands-on activities, interactive presentations and meetings with Lockheed Martin engineers. A typical visit to your school would include a STEM presentation, led by a Lockheed Martin trained employee, followed by a 30-minute hands-on activity.
Each school visit last about 45-60 minutes and includes a general engineering overview and video presentation, as well as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related activity. Lockheed Martin's trained engineers serve as mentors to encourage children K-12 to pursue the engineering field.
