Join Christian Community Action and their efforts to help families in need as they host guest speaker, Todd Burpo, author of “Heaven is for Real,” on Thursday, March 1 at 7 p.m. at the Irving Bible Church.
For more than 35 years, Christian Community Action has been feeding, sheltering, educating and training families in need. They offer more than 30 programs designed to give families the skills they need, and have served more than 12,000 families within eight school districts and 42 communities through portions of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Tarrant and Wise counties.
In one year, Christian Community Action assists over 12,000 individuals. They distribute more than $1.4 million of food and see more than 4,000 low-income patients in their health center each year. They have more than 1,660 people taking educational and vocational training programs at our facility annually. They also provide more than 57,000 lunches to kids during the summer and provide 2,900 children with Christmas toys each holiday season. Christian Community Action provides volunteer opportunities to over 2,500 people each year.
