2019 Summer at the Heard

Register Today!

NBC 5 and Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary invite you to register today for the Heard Summer Nature Camp and bring your child closer to nature! The Heard’s mission is to inspire kids through education with an emphasis on an appreciation of nature and its conservation.

The Heard Summer Nature Camp offerings are available for children ages 5 through 15 and feature opportunities to investigate the wonders of nature on their 289-acre sanctuary, encounter animal ambassadors and study nature-themed topics. The six-mile nature trails and the Heard’s Native Texas Butterfly House and Garden are home to over 230 species of birds and just as diverse of a collection of native butterfly species. Studies have shown that spending time in nature plays a vital role in the many facets of children’s health and development.

This year, the Heard will also offer Kids’ Mini-Camps – each exploring a different topic – for kids ages 5 through 11.
