2014 Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis

Join NBC 5 and the Arthritis Foundation for the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis, the largest holiday 5K race series aimed to fight arthritis. The event is located at Burnett Park in Fort Worth on Saturday, December 6. The 1-mile reindeer fun-run starts at 4:30 p.m. and the 5K starts at 5:00 p.m.
 
The Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis is a fun, festive event for the whole family. Put on your reindeer antlers and your running shoes and join us for some holiday cheer -- complete with food, drinks, live music, prizes and Santa's Village for kids of all ages.
 
The event festivities and registration start at 2:00 p.m. The festivities include sponsored booths, a kid’s zone, a dog zone, a health zone and a senior corner. Before the race, there is a costume contest for teams, individuals and canines at 3:00 p.m. as well as a Tai Chi and an aerobic workout. Prices vary according to early, regular or day of registration.
 
Striking one in every five adults and 300,000 children, arthritis is the nation’s leading cause of disability. The Arthritis Foundation is committed to raising awareness and reducing the unacceptable impact of this serious and painful disease, which can severely damage joints and rob people of living life to its fullest.
