“The Greatest Gift Catalog Ever” Benefits Area Non-Profits

NBC 5 congratulates the National Leadership Foundation (NLF) for another record-breaking year of donations through its well-known fundraiser, “The Greatest Gift Catalog Ever.”

In 2014 “The Greatest Gift Catalog Ever” helped raise over $400,000 in contributions to 17 Tarrant area nonprofits. This year’s beneficiaries included Boys and Girls Clubs, Gill Children’s Services, Ronald McDonald House and The Women’s Center.

Since its inception in 2007, the catalog has had a total charitable impact of over $6.75 million in Tarrant County.

“The Greatest Gift Catalog Ever” was founded in 2007 by local businessman Elliot Goldman and his wife, Heather, to raise funds and awareness for local charities. The non-profit NLF distributes 100 percent of donations received through the catalog to participating organizations.

The 2015 issue of the catalog will feature 15 area nonprofits, including two new to the catalog:  The First Tee of Fort Worth which promotes values and wellness through the game of golf to young people and The Airpower Foundation which supports active duty, reserve and National Guard families; children who have lost a parent during war; and wounded warriors and veterans.

Gift purchases can be made online, by phone or by mail. Catalogs are available at over 100 Texas Healthcare doctors’ offices and more than 400 locations throughout Tarrant County.
