Join NBC 5 and BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir at the Diwali Celebration on Monday, October 28 at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Irving.
Diwali is a five-day celebration that culminates with the Hindu New Year Celebration with decorative offering of vegetarian sweets and food. It is one of India’s most significant festivals. It is the Festival of Lights where the lights or lamps signify victory of the good over the evil with every human.
Experience activities including classical Indian art form of Rangoli (designs made of colored powder, rice or sand) and other hand-crafted Diwali decorations. Don’t forget the fireworks and the traditional display of Annakut (mountain of food) composed of delectable Indian Sweets and Savory vegetarian dishes, all masterfully arrange.
