NBC 5 and the Women’s Policy Forum Foundation invite you to the fifth annual Emerging Issues Symposium on Friday, October. 19 from 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Amon Carter Center at Lena Pope in Fort Worth.

The symposium will be focusing on Closing the Gender Gap: Its Effects on Women, Families and Economy with keynote speaker, Rebecca Henderson, CEO of Randstad Sourcelight.

Providing a foundation for the morning’s discussion, the Women’s Policy Forum will release Tarrant County-specific data focusing on the local gender gap and how our county compares to the state of Texas and the United States. The data, to be compiled by the Institute of Women’s Policy Research and underwritten by the Dallas Women’s Foundation, should indicate the importance of the topic locally. Henderson, who has been instrumental in transforming how companies manage complex and evolving workforce demands, has earned a reputation as one of the staffing industry’s most innovative executives and progressive leaders.

Henderson, along with local and regional leaders will address the effects of wage and leadership disparity on women, families and economy, and how women and organizations can contribute to changing the current landscape of wage and leadership inequity.

The symposium is open to thought leaders who are dedicated to making positive changes in our community. Individual tickets are $40 which includes a continental breakfast. For more information or to register, visit www.womenspolicyforum.org/2018-symposium.
