Blue Zones Project Los Vaqueros Celebration

Saturday, August 22

Come enjoy mimosas, yoga, and a presentation by special guest speakers as you join NBC 5 and Blue Zones Project in a community celebration on Saturday, August 22, as Los Vaqueros Restaurant in the Stockyards becomes the city’s newest Blue Zones Project approved restaurant. Blue Zones Project is led by the community and takes initiative on improving well-being by taking aim at making healthier choices easier for people who live, work, and play in Fort Worth.

This popular Fort Worth event begins with free yoga from 9:00 a.m. – 10 a.m. (Yoga fans are encouraged to bring their own mats). Following yoga will be a presentation from 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. with special guests Sal Espino (Fort Worth City Council Representative), John Hernandez (President of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce), and Sonya Cisneros (a fourth-generation member of the Los Vaqueros family). Lastly, Los Vaqueros will be serving mimosas, fresh fruit and samples from its new Blue Zones menu starting at 10:30 a.m.

The Blue Zones Project celebration is being held on the 19th anniversary of the date Los Vaqueros Restaurant opened in the Stockyards and the 100th anniversary of the completion of the D. Hart and Sons Livestock Building in the Stockyards.
