Many school children in North Texas start the school year at a disadvantage without the common items needed to learn. On average, teachers spend more than $450 a year out of their own pockets to stock their classrooms with necessary supplies. Having those necessary supplies can contribute greatly to a child’s success in the classroom.
On DonorsChoose.org/NBCDFW, you can select a project to support local teachers’ efforts to help their students. Each project will benefit a specific teacher and is tailored to that classroom’s needs. You can also skip those steps and donate to the entire local campaign.
