Kimbell Art Museum Festival: Lights, Color, Monet! 2019

Sunday, July 21

NBC 5 and the Kimbell Art Museum invite you to the free, family-friendly festival Lights, Color, Monet! on Sunday, July 21, from noon to 5:00 p.m. This event will celebrate the work of one of the world’s most revered artists, Claude Monet, and include free admission to the special exhibition Monet: The Late Years.

Activities will include art making, gallery explorations, dance performances by Ballet Frontier, interactive improv sessions with Rob Bosquez, face painting and children's films. Free ice cream, generously donated by Ben E. Keith, will be available while supplies last.

Monet: The Late Years showcases more than 50 paintings that trace the evolution of Monet, widely known as one of the most original artists of the modern age. Of those 50 paintings, from traditional pictures to a monumental work measuring 14 feet wide, several works are being seen for the first time in the United States, along with other extraordinary and unfamiliar works from Monet’s final years.

Lights, Color, Monet! is the perfect opportunity to bring your family and visit the special exhibition free while also enjoying a range of activities and free ice cream as well.

The event is offered in conjunction with Nuestro Kimbell, and all promotional materials will be provided in both English and Spanish. Reservations are not required.
