NBC 5 invites you to the Puttin’ on the Pink Fashion Luncheon on Thursday, April 3, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Now in its 21st year, the Puttin’ on the Pink Fashion Luncheon, hosted by the Kupferle Health Board of the Texas
Health Resources Foundation, has raised more than $3.7 million to support mobile health outreach to underserved women in Fort Worth and surrounding communities. Services offered include digital screening mammography, breast diagnostic services (for women with abnormal mammograms), well-woman exams, cervical cancer screenings, colon cancer screenings, bone density screenings and cardiovascular risk assessments.
This year’s luncheon is chaired by Diane Ayres and Amy Yudiski. A champagne reception begins at 10:30 a.m. with the luncheon and fashion presentation by Neiman Marcus at 11:30 a.m. The program also features a special runway walk by cancer survivor models to celebrate survivorship and promote early detection. Presenting Sponsor Sewell Infiniti of Fort Worth and Sewell Lexus of Fort Worth has generously underwritten the cost of a vehicle for raffle in support of the cause. The winner will be drawn at the luncheon on April 3 and will get to choose a 2014 Infiniti Q50 or Lexus IS.
Each year, the Kupferle Health Board presents a deserving individual or organization with the Altruism Award at Puttin’ on the Pink. The Junior League of Fort Worth will receive the honor this year in recognition of their outstanding work to train women for volunteer leadership and to improve women’s health and well-being in our community.
