Yu Bobblehead Now Hot Commodity

Found myself out at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on Tuesday night with hopes of scoring the latest Texas Rangers promotional item, the Yu Darvish K counter bobblehead, so I could keep track of the Rangers ace's career strikeout total.

Rolled up to the first base entrance just more than than an hour prior to first pitch, mainly to allow myself time to consume my first-ever Beltre Buster hamburger, and was a little saddened when they were fresh out of the Darvish collectibles.

With only 20,000 to go around, kind of figured that it would work that way, but then there were countless people walking around with five or six of the things. Now, we know why.

A quick check on auction website eBay.com shows the Darvish bobbleheads being listed from anywhere between $30 all the way up to $200 for one. Then some guy has the audacity to try to sell 10 of them together for almost $1,300. Just a tip, anyone who buys that should be drawn and quartered.

Guess I'll have to continue my method of hanging up "K" signs all over my house with each Darvish strikeout. The wife isn't going to like this.
