Who's On, Who's Not?: May 25

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Ian Desmond — The shortstop, turned left fielder, turned center fielder has shown there is nothing he can't do over the last month. He's now hitting .400 over the last week with two stolen bases including a steal of home on Tuesday that wasn't technically ruled a steal. Still, we know it was.

Nomar Mazara — The kid keeps on truckin'. He's hitting .389 with a .421 on-base percentage in the last week with two homers and five RBIs.

Starting rotation — A unit that's about to get back Yu Darvish has been on a tear over the past week and now has the best rotation ERA in the AL. The worst start over the last time through the rotation has been Derek Holland's two-run, 6 2/3 innings outing on Monday night.

Who's Not?

Rougned Odor — The second baseman is about to serve his suspension, likely beginning on Friday, and he's been struggling since the punch heard 'round the world. In the last five games, he's 2-for-20 with five strikeouts.
