Who's On, Who's Not?: Aug. 20

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Leonys Martin — In his last six games, Martin is hitting .400 with a double and has a stolen base. He's still trying to work his way on to Ron Washington's good side when it comes to using him against left-handed pitching, but this hot streak is a start, anyway.

Adrian Beltre — Basically a staple in this on a weekly basis, Beltre is batting .333 over his last six games with a double and two RBIs. It's a nice thing to see considering he was in a rare cold funk for a brief time recently.

Bullpen — The Rangers' bullpen is still red hot, even after they couldn't hold a tie game in extra innings on Tuesday night. That run was unearned, meaning a group of eight Rangers relievers is still carrying a 0.00 ERA over the last 17 innings, highlighted by the work of newcomers Phil Klein and Roman Mendez.

Who's Off?

Alex Rios — He was scratched with a sore thumb on Tuesday night, and over his last six. games, he's hitting just .095.

Rougned Odor — After being the hottest hitter on the team just a week ago, the 20-year-old second baseman has cooled off. Over his last six games, he's hitting .182, but does have a homer and two RBIs.
