Tigers Ordonez Out for Remainder of Postseason

Another Detroit Tigers outfielder is being removed from the roster due to injury.

Magglio Ordonez will miss the rest of the postseason due to a nagging ankle injury, the Associated Press is reporting.

Ordonez is having problems with his right ankle, which he broke last season and caused him to miss more than a month of games earlier this year.

Tigers manager Jim Leyland replaced Ordonez with a pinch runner following a rain delay in Saturday night's Game 1 of the ALCS.  He never returned to the game.

On Saturday, outfielder Delmon Young was taken off of the Tigers ALCS roster due to an oblique injury.

Game 2, which was to be played Sunday night, has been postponed until Monday afternoon due to rain and poor field conditions.

The Rangers lead the best of seven ALCS 1-0.
