Rangers Visit NCTC After Tragedy

In the midst of their statewide winter caravan — basically a tour to meet and greet with fans — the Texas Rangers made a special stop on Tuesday up near the Oklahoma border in Gainesville.

That's where they stopped to pay a visit to the NCTC softball team with goodie bags in tow.

If you remember, the NCTC softball team was involved in a tragic accident back in the fall while traveling back from a tournament in Oklahoma.

Four of the players lost their lives and others were injured, and the story made national headlines and trended nationally on Twitter.

On Tuesday, Nick Martinez, Nick Tepesch, Mitch Moreland and broadcaster Tom Grieve stopped by to help lift the spirits of the players, most of which are natives of the DFW area.
