Rangers Reversing Claim on Olmos

The Texas Rangers have been trying to bolster their depth in the bullpen from the left side, but so far, it's not going too well.

Michael Kirkman is on a minor-league deal trying to finally realize his potential as a longtime Rangers farmhand and big-league flameout, but he's currently dealing with some shoulder soreness that isn't thought to be serious.

They went the waiver route and claimed Edgar Olmos from Seattle last month for $20,000, but the lefty hasn't even thrown in Rangers camp as he's been dealing with a similar shoulder soreness. Now, the Rangers have asked Major League Baseball to reverse the claim, and the league is in the process of doing so, according to The Dallas Morning News.

The move should be completed by Friday, which will open up another spot on the 40-man roster, one which will certainly be filled by a left-handed reliever.
