The Texas Rangers made a couple of moves Tuesday involving their bullpen. The team announced they have recalled right handed pitcher Nick Martinez from Triple-A Round Rock. This is his second stint with the Rangers this season.
Martinez has spent most of the season in Round Rock and has posted a 6-4 record with a 4.50 ERA during his time with the Express.
To make room for Martinez, the Rangers optioned righty Tom Wilhelmsen to Round Rock. Wilhelmsen allowed six runs in his last outing with the Rangers Monday night in the 14-5 loss against the last place Oakland A's.
