Rangers Offer Opportunity for ALCS Tickets

Ticket lottery registration runs until Sunday

The Texas Rangers are allowing fans the chance to win a spot in line to purchase tickets to ALCS games at the Ballpark in Arlington -- provided the Rangers advance into the playoffs and out of the divisional round for a third straight year.

Fans can go to texasrangers.com/opportunity to register for the opportunity to buy up to two tickets to one of the four possible ALCS games in Arlington.

After registration, a pool of randomly selected people will be chosen who can buy the tickets during an online presale.  Those who win the chance to purchase tickets will be notified by Sept. 19 and tickets must be bought on Sept. 21.

"Regardless of selection in the ALCS Ticket Opportunity, all registrants are automatically entered for the chance to participate in the World Series Ticket Opportunity. The dates for the possible World Series Ticket Opportunity will be announced at a later date," the team said in a news release Monday. "Fans who registered prior to the ALDS Ticket Opportunity deadline do not need to register again, regardless of their selection in the ALDS Ticket Opportunity. Registration remains valid for both future opportunities."

Registration for the chance to purchase tickets is free and continues through Sept. 16.
