Rangers' Offense Comes to Life

The Texas Rangers were desperate for a win on Thursday night to prevent a home sweep at the hands of the Baltimore Orioles, and despite a rough outing from their starting pitcher, their bats saw to it that that sweep wouldn't happen.

The Rangers pounded out 13 hits en route to their 8-6 win, and every player in the lineup had a hit except for the struggling Shin-Soo Choo, but he did walk twice and score a run.

Adrian Beltre, who homered twice on Wednesday and once Tuesday, accounting for just about all the Rangers' runs in those two games, was hitting again, though he let his teammates drive in the runs. He went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Elvis Andrus responded after being benched on Wednesday with a 2-for-5 day with an RBI, and Alex Rios and Chris Gimenez each added RBIs, while Mitch Moreland and Michael Choice each had two RBIs with Choice's coming on a long ball into the visiting bullpen.

They'll have a test on Friday night against young Indians starter Trevor Bauer, but fortunately with Yu Darvish on the hill, they might not need too much.
