Rangers fans saw something in Tuesday night's 7-3 win over the Indians that they haven’t seen in more than two years.

Jurickson Profar, who’s dealt with injuries the last two seasons, took a changeup from Indians starter Corey Kluber in the fifth inning and sent it to the right field seats for his first home run of the season.

Just as importantly, it was his first homer in a Rangers uniform since Sept. 26, 2013.

Profar has hit safely in all five games since being recalled from the minors while second baseman Rougned Odor serves his seven-game suspension for his involvement in the brawl with the Blue Jays earlier this month.

Interesting fact, Progressive Field in Cleveland was the site where Profar hit his first major league homer in his debut back in 2012.

So here’s the question, what happens with Profar once Odor’s suspension ends Friday? If you remember, Profar was the second baseman of the future at one point for the Rangers before being hit with the injury bug. Do you send him back to Triple-A Round Rock to get at-bats?

The Rangers don’t see Profar as a bench player. If he does stay, whose playing time gets trimmed down? You would think Profar would need to get 3-4 starts per week if he does stay.

Trade bait? Not out of the question but not something the Rangers want to think about at this point.

These are just some of the questions begin evaluated by the Rangers brass this week. There’s no doubt it’s an interesting dilemma.
