Rangers Beat Rays in 4; Returning to ALCS

The Texas Rangers are headed back to the ALCS for the second-straight year.

The Rangers beat the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Divisional Series 4-3 in four games and for the second time in as many seasons.  The Rangers advanced to the ALCS in 2010 after beating the Rays in five games.

Ian Kinsler led off Game 4 with a solo home run to give the Rangers an early lead.

Adrian Beltre, who was 1-11 in the ALDS going into Game 4, had solo home runs in his first three at bats, giving the Rangers the win.

Beltre is only the seventh player in MLB history to hit three home runs in a single game in the post season -- and the first to do it in a divisional game.

Sean Rodriguez scored all three of the runs for the Rays, two of which were on singles by Casey Kotchman.

The Rangers will face either the Detroit Tigers or New York Yankees in the ALCS.  Game 4 in that matchup is played Tuesday night. Detroit leads the series 2-1.
