Rangers-Astros: What Will Give?

The Rangers have won all six meetings against their in-state rival Astros this year.

They've also won the last 10 meetings in Arlington. In the last 22 meetings between the teams, the Rangers have won 18.

So yeah, you could contend that this really isn't much of a rivalry.

But it still is, and it resumes Monday night when the teams open a four-game set in Arlington — where the Astros haven't won since last August — in a series where something has to give.

The Astros have won 11 of their last 13 games thanks to a hot lineup behind Carlos Correa, George Springer and Jose Altuve. Their pitching staff still has some questions, and ace Dallas Keuchel hasn't lived up to his billing this year. Even when he was great last year, he couldn't win in Arlington.

The Rangers have lost just one home series this year — the first series of the season (Seattle) — and they've won five straight series since being swept in Oakland. Now they have the best record in the American League and the second-best record in baseball behind the amazing Cubs.

So, something will give this weekend. What will it be?
