Profar Has Something to Prove This Season

Profar hopes to have play well and have fun

Rangers infielder Jurickson Profar was given a huge compliment a couple of years ago when he was named the number one prospect in all of baseball.

However, injuries have been a problem for Profar, and he hasn't been able to show the Rangers that ability, something he's hoping to change in spring training 2016.

"They rewarded me with that (title) and I was very happy," Profar said. "But that’s not the goal. The goal for me is to play and have fun and to do me all the time."

Profar is used to being on a big stage. In fact, he was on the big stage as a young kid.

As an 11 and 12-year old, his Curacao team played for the Little League World Series championship on national television, including winning the game when he was eleven.

"It was very fun," Profar said. "As a kid, it's like playing in the big league World Series. We won it, which made it even better."
