Things weren't looking to good for the Rangers' offense through the first three games of the season.

Not that one game cures all, but Thursday's 10-1 win over the Oakland A's to preserve a series split was pretty darn positive if you're a Rangers fan.

The game saw the Rangers break their three-game homerless streak to start the year (something only one other team had done this year) and bust out for four long balls from Mitch Moreland, Shin-Soo Choo, Adrian Beltre and Rougned Odor.

For a team that severely lacked in pop last year, it was a welcome sign. It doesn't mean the Rangers' lineup is going to be full of world beaters this year, but it was encouraging, especially Moreland's homer, which was hit to the opposite field on a rope.

Returning home to the friendly confines of Globe Life Park — much more of a hitter's park than in Oakland — could fuel some more power beginning Friday afternoon.
