Want to meet Derek Holland?
If so, head over to the Whataburger restaurant near the intersection of S. Hulen Street and Oakmont Boulevard Wednesday between 11 a.m and noon.
Holland will be hanging out with the Rangers mascot Captain and the Six Shooters (the girls who shoot T-shirts into the stands from the dugouts).
The pitcher will be at the restaurant for the What-a-Fan contest, where fans can win tickets to upcoming Rangers games while also becoming eligible for the grand prize of four tickets in the owners seats for the Rangers/Indians matchup on Sept. 13, a VIP tour of the Ballpark and the chance to toss out the first pitch. The winner also gets free Whataburger every week for a year.
I'm not sure which is the better prize, honestly.
This is the final opportunity this season for fans to meet Rangers players in connection with this event -- and maybe the last time to enter to win. I'd love to share a link with more info on the contest, but the Whataburger website has no information on this event -- the same can be said for the Rangers website.
