Lewis the Cyclist Has Dropped 25 Pounds

Colby Lewis has always been a rock-solid pitcher for the Texas Rangers, but now he's a lean, mean pitching machine.

The veteran righty, who was officially announced as having signed a new one-year deal with Texas earlier this week, reported back to Arlington from his home in Bakersfield, Calif., about 25 pounds lighter as a result of a new found hobby/rehab for his surgically repaired knee.

Lewis took up cycling after having knee surgery following the 2015 season, and he's become quite the fan.

"Doc told me that riding a bike would be the best thing for my knee," Lewis told the Star-Telegram. "It's fun. I'm hooked now."

Lewis now weighs 238 pounds, according to the Star-Telegram, after seeing his weight get up into the 260s toward the end of last season when his knee was so sore he couldn't do much in the way of exercise, as even walking on a treadmill was painful.
