On Dec. 18, it was announced the Rangers and Colby Lewis had agreed to another one-year deal to keep the veteran pitcher around and in the Rangers' rotation.

Now, nearly a month later there has still been no formal announcement from the Rangers saying Lewis is back for the 2016 season. That's a bit of a concern for several reasons: Could he be having second thoughts about signing another one-year deal? Could he have failed his physical following a knee procedure after the 2015 season?

Well, turns out, it's neither. So rest easy.

The Star-Telegram reports Lewis' agent and the Rangers are working to iron out a few final details before the one-year, $6 million deal is formalized, but said the wrinkles are not deal-breakers and nothing that could jeopardize the agreement.

Lewis also told the Star-Telegram he plans to attend Rangers Fan Fest next week in Arlington, which would seem to point to the fact he fully expects to be with the Rangers again.
