Is Choo Heating Up Again?

Shin-Soo Choo has apparently been relegated to platoon duty after a highly disappointing first half of the season, and that's been apparent by the fact he made just his second start in the Rangers' fifth game after the break on Tuesday night.

But just like his first start post-break, he was pretty dang good.

After going 2-for-2 in his first start after the break against Houston, Choo had a night for the ages on Tuesday in Colorado as he hit for the cycle, securing the feat in the ninth inning with a triple and drove in three runs.

While he's been sitting against left-handed pitching, you have to wonder if manager Jeff Banister won't start throwing him in there with a little more regularity to see if he can carry over this success as a full-timer.

Frankly, it'd be awful if Choo is just a platoon player now, given his huge contract with a lot of years left on it, but maybe that's what he is. The Rangers sure hope not.
