Harrison's Status Iffy for Thursday

For the first four starts of his 2011 campaign, Matt Harrison seemed to be the best pitcher in the Texas Rangers rotation. Then his wheels came off for three starts.

Now, after three good starts, two of which were stellar, Harrison has hit a wall again, but this time it's because of an injury.

The righty is questionable to start Thursday's series opener in Cleveland with a blister on his index finger making him the second Rangers starter to have blister problems this season after Alexi Ogando missed a scheduled start earlier this season but has been lights out since.

Harrison tossed the ball around on Wednesday in pregame in Tampa, according to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan, and remained optimistic he'd be able to start on Thursday in Cleveland, but the Rangers haven't said one way or another if he will.

In one respect, you'd rather have Harrison on the hill than Dave Bush, but in another, you want Harrison to get his blister fully healed like Ogando did by missing a start.

We'll know one way or another in 24 hours.
