Harrison Hit Near Elbow, Leaves Game

Texas Rangers left-hander Matt Harrison has left the game at Minnesota after being hit by a line drive above his pitching elbow.

Danny Valencia reached base leading off the seventh inning when his drive glanced off Harrison's arm. The pitcher picked up the ball and threw to first, but it was late and Valencia was given a single.

Harrison was replaced by right-hander Mark Lowe. Harrison left, trailing 1-0 to Francisco Liriano and the Twins.
