Hamilton Dealing With Shoulder Issue

Fans of the Texas Rangers might not get one last chance to boo Josh Hamilton this season.

The Los Angeles Angels open a three-game series in Arlington on Tuesday night, and it's a big question whether Hamilton will be in the lineup on Tuesday, or for the series, period.

Hamilton missed his fourth straight game on Monday afternoon with shoulder soreness and is currently listed as day-to-day as he returns to Arlington where he played five seasons before leaving via free agency prior to the 2013 season and going scorched earth on the Rangers and their fans.

"He feels much better today and hopefully that will continue tomorrow," Scioscia told reporters on Monday. "He's still day-to-day, and we'll see where he is tomorrow."

Hamilton has been extremely hot and cold this year, but the Angels are just fine as they have a seven-game lead over the Oakland A's in the AL West and are a virtual lock to win the division for the first time since 2009.
