Guess Who's Tearing Up Triple-A?

Take a wild guess what Chris Davis is up to these days.

Remember the guy who demanded a shot in the bigs this year out of the spring and didn't really do much with it after crushing spring training pitching?

There's a reason they call him the best Four-A player on the planet, and it's because once again, he's proving too talented for Triple-A pitching as he is bashing the ball all over the place for Triple-A Round Rock.

Check out these numbers that Davis has put up for the Express this season:

123 at-bats, .374 batting average, .862 slugging percentage, 1.281 OPS, 17 home runs, 48 RBIs

Check out these numbers Davis put up for the Rangers this season:

52 at-bats, .269 batting average, .481 slugging percentage, .814 OPS, 3 home runs, 4 RBIs

So fortunately, for the Rangers and Davis, he's showing some great pop and at-bats in Triple-A, showcasing for other teams in the league.

Unfortunately for both parties, everyone knows what will likely follow when Davis hits the bigs for any MLB team.

This outstanding play will make Davis a viable trade candidate as some team will think they can fix him, and maybe they can. The Baltimore Orioles and Buck Showalter have been an interested party all along, and other teams will get in the mix. Davis will likely be dealt by the July 31 trade deadline to get some bullpen help in return. Not a bad haul for the greatest Triple-A player of all time.
