Fielder Wins Rangers Heart and Hustle

There is no question as to who has been the Texas Rangers' MVP this season, and it's a hefty designated hitter who also happened to be the team's lone representative in the MLB All-Star Game named Prince Fielder.

Fielder was recognized on Tuesday as the Rangers' recipient of the Heart and Hustle Award, which is voted on by former players and given to a player who most demonstrates passion for the game and embodies the value, spirit and tradition of the game.

Each team has a winner selected, and those names will all be voted upon to select one league-wide winner on Nov. 10 in New York City.

Fielder is leading the league with 120 hits this year, good for a .339 batting average to go with a .402 on-base percentage and 14 home runs.

No Rangers player has ever won the overall award.
