Fielder Hits First Homer of Spring

It's not yet time to say Prince Fielder is good and ready to return to Prince Fielder status after a down year (by his standards) in 2013 and a 2014 season lost to injury that resulted in neck surgery.

But if Sunday's Cactus League game against the Indians was any indication, he's on the right track.

Fielder launched a homer into right field against the Indians and drove in three runs for the Rangers' 8-7 win over Cleveland.

"I'm 100 percent," he said. "I don't know what that's going to mean during the season, but as far as my neck and everything I feel 100 percent. I?m happy about that that I have my strength back. I?ll take the feel good. I definitely want to feel good and keep that swing pat going." "It?s been nine months, so I?m trying to get in the groove again. Today definitely helped with the confidence and I definitely like the way my swing is."

The home run was Fielder's first since May 8, 2014 before his season ended on May 27.
