Feliz Not Too Worried About Shoulder Tightness

Feliz was forced to leave after three innings on Tuesday with shoulder tightness

Neftali Feliz left Tuesday’s start against the Chicago Cubs with tightness in his right shoulder, but neither the closer-turned-starter or his manager are all that worried about it.

"The problem with Neftali is normal," Ron Washington told the team’s official website. "There is no structural damage, just normal stiffness. Those first three innings he was throwing pretty good."

Feliz reportedly tested the shoulder on Wednesday by playing long toss, and said afterward that he was both encouraged by the session and confident that this time around--as opposed to last year, when he missed around a month at the beginning of the season with a right shoulder issue--he doesn’t expect the shoulder to cause any trouble going forward.

"This is different from last year," Feliz said. "I don't feel like it's a problem. I want to be careful and make sure this doesn't get any worse, but it's not like last year. It's different."
