The 'Citizens for a Better Arlington PAC' has filed a formal complaint, against the City of Arlington's Mayor, Council and "Vote Yes! Keep the Rangers PAC", with the Texas Ethics Commision.
They are alleging that the State Local Goverment Code is being violated with the use of misleading campaign material.
On Tuesday, 8/2/16, The City of Arlington Mauor and Council voted unanimously to place "Propisition No. 1" on the November 8, 2016 election ballot.
Local Government Code allows individuals to file complaints with the TEC, so Kelly Canon filed on behalf of the Citizens for A Better Arlington group earlier today. The group urges the city to correct their indeded ballot language before moving forward with the adoption of their current version with the second reading of this ordinance, which scheduled to take place Tuesday, Aug. 9.
