Texas Rangers Third baseman Adrian Beltre has been added to the lineup for Monday's Game 4 of the AL Division Series.

Texas leads the series 2-1 and with a win Monday can advance to the AL Championship Series.

Rookie Hanser Alberto was to again start at third base Monday - his third start since Beltre exited the series opener Thursday with a strained lower back.

Manager Jeff Banister apparently had a change of heart after saying earlier in the day that Beltre was better but not ready to start.

Beltre took swings in the batting cage Sunday night and received more treatment Monday. Bannister said running is probably "most problematic" for Beltre.

The Blue Jays have to win Monday to force a deciding Game 5 in Toronto.
