Astros Moving to the AL West?

If MLB writer Peter Gammons is right, the Houston Astros will be headed to the American League.

Gammons made the announcement on his Twitter account Wednesday when he Tweeted, "Houston ownership change expected to go through in mid-November, w/ AL move."

One could further speculate that the Astros would then be moved from the NL Central into the AL West, the only division in the AL with less than five teams.

The Astros finished dead last in the majors with a record of 56-106. The Astros went 2-4 against the Rangers last season.

Houston businessman Jim Crane agreed to buy the team in May at a reported price of $680 million.
