Adduci Back from DL

With only five games to play this year, there isn't much time to get back in the swing of things, but Texas Rangers outfielder Jim Adduci will try to do just that after he was activated off the disabled list on Tuesday. He didn't play on Tuesday, but could be available off the bench for the Rangers' series finale against the Houston Astros on Wednesday night.

Adduci has been on the shelf for a month now with concussion symptoms after hitting the wall while trying to make a catch against these same Astros. The Rangers gave him every opportunity to lock down the fourth outfielder role early in the season after it was clear Michael Choice wasn't going to cut it, but the poor guy couldn't stay healthy.

In all, Adduci has 98 at-bats this season and is hitting just .173 with a paltry .480 OPS, leaving everyone to wonder whether that's all he has or if he was never able to get comfortable in his on-again, off-again rollercoaster of a year on the injury front.
