Adrian Grenier, HBO Turn the Cameras on “Teenage Paparazzo”

HBO is about the explore the world of "Teenage Paparazzo."

The cable channel has picked up the rights to Adrian Grenier's documentary about the true story of his relationship with a 14-year-old paparazzo, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The two met during a night on the town, and suddenly Grenier turned the camera on the young celebrity hunter.

The world of celebrity photography is a fascinating topic and is ripe for an intelligent look inward that goes beyond Mel Gibson's ludicrous film "Paparazzi." Might this documentary be the way in?

It certainly has the right star power. The Sundance selection features interviews with Matt Damon, Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg and  Eva Longoria Parker. Paris Hilton is also featured -- interesting considering that Hilton is often accused of tipping off the paparazzi to her whereabouts to make sure she stays on the front page of every blog.

The film will also feature historians, critics, fans and tabloid writers, hopefully providing full balance to the topic.
