$4 Money Maker at Target (Proceed with Caution)

Ok...full disclosure here. I stopped in at Target this morning & tried this deal and it worked...after 4 people, including 2 managers intervened. I still don't understand why it wasn't a smooth transaction, but it was far from easy so I caution you to proceed carefully. I hope your experience is hassle-free, but I'm not entirely optimistic!

Target is currently running a gift card deal on Schick Qauttro razors. They are priced at $5.49 and when you buy 2, you earn a $5 Target gift card. I was THRILLED to see $2 Target coupons in this weekend's Sunday Smart Source insert! Combine them with the $3 Schick coupons from the 7/25 SS and you end up paying 49¢ each PLUS you earn a $5 gift card!

Women's Schick Razors  (3-pack disposable) $5.49 [Buy 2]
- Use (2) $3 MQ's from the 7/25 SS -AND-
- Use (2) $2 Target coupons from the 8/22 SS
= Pay 98¢ out of pocket (+ tax)
= Earn $5 Target gift card
= $4.02 Money Maker (after coupons & gift card)

***If you don't have the 7/25 SS, you can use the $2 from this weekend's SS and still make $2!

***The gift card deal expires on 8/28!

My Target coupons came up as "item not found" despite the fact I bought the exact product listed AND the MQ's price adjusted to 98¢ even when used before the Target Q's. The cashier was very nice & took me to Customer Service where 2 very kind managers manually adjusted the coupons to make the deal work.

I'm not sure I'll try this one again, but here's to hoping your experience is a bit smoother!
