Own a Piece of Presidential History

Former United States Presidents Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower all had one thing in common (besides their Presidential status, of course): each President relished escaping to this rustic retreat called "Trout Run" to spend the day fishing from the two-mile trout stream that runs through the property.

The impressive historical compound, located in Thurmont, Maryland, is now listed for sale by the current, non-Presidential owners for the grand price of $8.95 million. The gigantic property is located just a short distance from the more well-known Camp David. However, for the fishing-loving Presidents, "Trout Run" was a known favorite, and indeed, a secret angling destination for many commanders-in-chief.

Not only is the property equipped with a sweet two-mile trout stream, but there are five separate stone-lined guest quarters, including the "Catoctin Chalet", a large main house that overlooks the creek. Other historic buildings include the "Yugoslav House", which is a duplicate of Belgrade's first Parliament building.

While for the majority of us will never step foot in the White House or Camp David, now's our chance to live (and fish) like the Presidents.
