I long ago burned out on Fantasy Football. I can’t wrap my little brain around the FanDuelDraftKings craze. And I’ve wasted lots of time and a little money on not finishing first in those Eliminator Pools.
But, alas, like of fans, I do like to have a little extra interest in Cowboys games.
So let’s do this: I just robbed an imaginary bank and pocketed a virtual $1,000. What better way to spend it than on some mythical wagering.
I’ll start with my $1k bankroll and each week — usually on Thursday or Friday — I’ll analyze the upcoming Cowboys game and make a wager. With any luck, come 2016 it’ll be iPhone upgrades for everyone. Or maybe not.
Do I think we’ll win? You betcha!
Too bad the Cowboys’ season ended. Because — like their opponents — I had them figured out.
Another easy win wagered another loss and, just like that, I’ve doubled my money from my initial bankroll. Just because the Cowboys are done doesn’t mean we should be.

Let’s steamroll into the NFL Playoffs, and put some financial icing on this delicious cake of a season.
This one feels too easy. Because after a season of watching it week in and week out, I do not have any respect for the NFC East. In other words, the Packers are not a Super Bowl-caliber team, but they are considerably better than the best of the worst, better known as the Redskins.
I know Kirk Cousins is a hot quarterback and the Redskins are hosting Green Bay in the late game Sunday afternoon. But, c’mon, this is a Washington team that padded its mediocre 9-7 record by beating up three divisional opponents that all finished under .500. Two of the head coaches in the NFC East are gone and the Cowboys plunged from 12-4 and 4-12. The Redskins’ NFC East division banner feels like a knock-off, like a Louie Vitton bag or a pair of Oaxley sunglasses.
The Packers possess a better quarterback, a better running game and a better defense. Give me those advantages, and I’ll gladly give up the one point.
