Woodson Politely Disagrees With Aikman

On Tuesday, Troy Aikman told a local radio station that Tony Romo was a better QB than he was

On Tuesday, Pro Football hall of Famer and legendary Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Troy Aikman told “Ben & Skin” on ESPN Radio 103.3 that, in his opinion, current Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo has already surpassed him in terms of ability.

To this point, Aikman’s former teammate Darren Woodson politely disagrees.

Woodson appeared on “Ben & Skin” on Thursday, and said that he believed Aikman was the best, an opinion formed over years of playing with the man.

"I don't know if I'm biased, but I saw the best every day in practice--and that's Troy Aikman," Woodson said, via ESPN Dallas. Woodson added that though Romo may be a better all-around athlete than Aikman--and this was part of Aikman’s argument in favor of Romo--Aikman’s resume leaves little question about the matter.

"You talk about leadership skills, you talk about controlling the huddle, being a huge locker room presence, brought his lunch pail to work every single day, [Aikman] is probably the most accuate quarterback I've ever seen throw the ball,” he said. “A guy that really understood his role and made people play at a high level around him. They don't get any better than Troy Aikman. I haven't seen it."
